1972 - Present: Pioneering an industry

2010

Unilock expands the Richcliff® line by introducing new module sizes. Both Richcliff® and Courtstone® offerings are enhanced by several new natural colors.

2009

Unilock launches Belpasso® a "ceramic tile-like" paver with revolutionary color retention through HD Brilliance™ technology and dirt repelling properties with StayClean™ Technology. Belpasso's unprecedented stain resistant properties allow for easy removal of dirt, stains and even chewing gum.

2008

Unilock introduces Umbriano® pavers featuring StayClean™; a revolutionary stain resistant technology that actually repels dirt and grease. Elements (Pre-Built Outdoor Design Solutions) by Harmony Outdoor Living Inc., are also introduced to the market, and are received with great enthusiasm by contractors and homeowners.

2005

Extremely realistic and durable large-format flagstone slabs, Yorkstone® and Rivenstone®, are introduced and become a resounding success from the Midwest to the East Coast.

2004

Unilock launches next-generation concrete and paver design technology (Ultima™ and Reala™) with the introduction of Courtstone®, Copthorne® and Richcliff®. SonomaStone®, the new heavy-duty wall that can actually double the speed of installation for industrial walls due to a new placement clamp, is introduced. Sensitive to designers needs, Optiloc® and Eco-Optiloc® are introduced as the new rectilinear version of Anchorlock®. Used primarily in commercial parking lots and roads, it too can be installed mechanically and the surface color and texture customized.

2001

Unilock expands its permeable paver line to include Ecoloc® and Aquaterra®.

1997

Once again Unilock turns the industry "on its ear" with a whole new textured stone called Il Campo®, featuring a unique brushed surface texture. Unilock also introduces SienaStone®, the first split-faced heavy-duty wall in North America.

1995

Brussels Dimensional System®, the first tumbled wall system, is introduced allowing designers and installers to design vertical outdoor living features such as, seat walls, pillars, grill islands, planters and more.

1993

Unilock changes the way people think about paving stones with the introduction of Brussels Block®; the first tumbled concrete paving stone in North America.

1992

Unilock launches Series 3000®, with its unique glittering exposed aggregate surface; it is embraced by the design community.

1991

Unilock lays the first stepping stone to the "green movement" in landscaping, by launching the first official permeable paver, Uni Eco-Stone® to engineers, municipalities and architects.

1990

Unilock begins large scale manufacturing of Pisa 2®, the most flexible retaining wall system in the market.

1989

Anchorlock®, (the industrial dual-axis version of Uni-Stone®) is launched. The first North American paving stone that allows for mechanical installation at the rate of 8,000 - 10,000 square feet per day.

1987

The Lead Program is developed to disperse qualified leads to contractors.

 

1986

Unilock introduces the Unilock Authorized Contractor Program to qualify contractors and to provide more assurance to homeowners.

1983

Unilock introduces Classico® pavers; the first concrete paver circle system offering up new design flexibility not possible with other shapes.

1975

Unilock launches the very popular Uni-Cobble® (Uni-Decor®). Its unique octagon and small square configuration, makes it a staple of the landscape industry.

1974

The Toronto Zoo, Unilock’s first commercial project, is completed.

1973

Unilock introduces the original Uni-Stone® (zig-zag shape) to North America.

1972

Unilock Ltd. is established by Ed Bryant, and is the first company in North America to make concrete pavers.
